Diffucult weekend for Joey on a very wet Newcarstle Raceway, The weekend started with a disqualification in qualifying for getting out of his gokart. this meant he had to start at the back for the heats on saturday.

The first heat started with a mega start crash wich took a lot of the drivers out of the race, Lucky Joey wasn’t involved and came into the top 5 with no problems. Heat two was still a wet race. “I made a bad move by changing the gokart and went the wrong way. Haha yes, I make mistakes to not often but this was a bad one”. Joey still finished 8th and got decent points.

Heat number 3 was a dry race and the first time on slicks. A decent start got Joey up to 12th and picked the drivers off one by one and crossed the line in P8. this meant Hanssen was starting on P6 for the sunday finals. “Pretty happy with this result comming from the back. It was good fun and this way you race everyone in the class. I Finished every race and got my championship points wich kept me in the lead in front of Dave sera and Christopher Hays”.
